I just shot a new batch of videos for some tasty Middle Eastern style recipes, so be sure to visit soon to check them out for cooking and entertaining ideas. One thing I love as much as food is the arts, and I have an exciting event to share with you that combines sumptuous food, a magical atmosphere with lit trees, live music, and first class entertainment—all for an excellent cause, Ballet San Jose. The Ballet San Jose Gala is going to be a massive party unlike anything San Jose has ever seen! Party planner Genevieve Brisebois, who has worked alongside famed Stanlee Gatti is organizing this event. The Gala will take place right next to the Center for Performing Arts(CPA) in San Jose on Saturday, November 3rd. At 5pm, you can warm up with cocktails, followed by a seated dinner at 6pm –designed by Celebrity Chef Mr. Armellino of the Plumed Horse. After eating a dinner inspired by a Michelin Star Chef, the party continues with a variety of stellar performances. Guests are invited into the CPA to watch a one-night only selection of bravura performances by Ballet San Jose dancers, accompanied by a live orchestra conducted by music director George Daugherty.
Guest artists include world renowned opera singer Kristin Clayton and the Golden Gate Boys Choir. Ballet San Jose dancers will also dance to Itzhak Perlman’s protegée Rachel Lee’s Bruch Violin Concerto, which has received dazzling reviews. Guests can then warm up their dancing shoes for an afterparty outdoors under a luxurious tent, with desserts and dancing from 10pm to midnight. Imagine, while having the time of your life, you will be supporting Ballet San Jose’s live music fund and arts education program “Music and Motion” at the same time! The live music fund provides a live orchestra for Ballet San Jose’s annual performances of The Nutcracker and repertory season. This program also provides free introductory dance and music classes for underserved elementary students in Santa Clara County schools. Your contribution will enable Ballet San Jose to provide interactive arts education for children, youth, and adults through their ballet school and outreach programs.
The Gala, including cocktail reception, dinner, premium performance seating, and post-party is $1,000 per person, $800 of which is tax deductible. Tickets to the performance only are available and range from $45 to $125. A limited number of tickets to the post-party are also available at $125 for Ballet San Jose subscribers and $175 for non-subscribers. Space is limited for this once in a lifetime event.
